Alexander Worthington came to the ring with Bad Boy Brian Day and called out the Asian Contingent and the Iron Chef. After assuring the Asian Contingent and Iron Chef that Day would not hurt them, Worthington bought off the Asians with \\$25, convincing them it was worth millions of yen. The Iron Chef tried to convince his charges $25 wasn't much money, but then Worthington offered the Iron Chef a yellow pepper. Saying he couldn't be bought off with a single pepper, Brian Day revealed another pepper, to which the Iron Chef grabbed it, performed his biting the pepper ritual and took his charges away. Worthington said that since he now had the open spot in the #1 contender to the tag straps match, he was going to put The Extreme Adam Hastey in the spot and let Mind and Matter (Don Juan Desanto and Dr. Heresy) beat him down in a handicapped match. This brought Commissioner Brian Black back to the ring and he ruled that Worthington had to team with Hastey in the match. While initially unhappy, Worthington seemed okay with the ruling.

After a series of devestating double team moves, Hastey, who wrestled the entire match for his team, managed to somehow kick out and following a mistake from Mind and Matter was able to score the upset pin at 11:20 and elevate the team of "Extreme" Adam Hastey and Alexander Worthington III to the #1 contender to the tag belts.
Tag team champions Steve Ramsey and Damian Houston lost their belts to former champions The Damned, giving the Hardcore Institute the tag team titles again at the 9:33 mark. Following the match Ramsey was obviously very upset with his partner for losing the tag team titles.
